Handmade in New Zealand by climbers and dog lovers, our leads are built for real adventures with your best mate. Each one is crafted from retired climbing rope, rope that once kept climbers safe on the wall, now repurposed to keep your pup secure on the trail.

Our ropes differ in strength because there is many different types and conditions of the rope, but back in their hay day these ropes could hold up to 1000kg, Now thats a ton ! Paired with an auto-locking swivel carabiner, you’ll never have to worry about your dog breaking their lead or fiddling with small clips or accidental unclipping,  just clip in and go.

Because climbing rope is designed to withstand the elements, it dries quickly, resists smells, and is made to last. Every lead you buy also helps reduce waste and supports local causes here in New Zealand.

Green Bean - Medium

 

• Thin - a thinner very supple rope, lighter and thinner than the other leads, often not a rope specifically used for climbing but for alpine or bush travel.

 

• Medium - General thickness and feel clmibing rope, it's not as supple as the thin lead but more nimble than a thick. Great for tying additional Knots into your lead. This is the standard rope for Ratuski.

 

• Thick - A thicker rope that is a little more rigid than the medium, great for those extra strog pullers !

• 1.5 m or 3 m length
